PARANOID / LOCAL HELPER
Small helper. Clear steps.
The browser guides you. Standard ADB connects to your phone from your own computer. All checks and configuration logs stay local.
1. Get the helper
Download the inspectable Python script and baseline together. The Windows launcher and macOS/Linux launcher run the same engine.
Download helper bundle ↓Inspect source · Google Platform Tools ↗ · Python ↗
Extract the bundle. Put the official platform-tools folder beside the helper, or use your existing adb on PATH.
2. Connect and check
On the phone, enable Developer options and USB debugging. Connect by USB and approve your computer. Run check.cmd on Windows, or bash check.sh on macOS/Linux.
3. Review before applying
The check writes report.json. The helper offers a separate configuration command that previews its changes and requires confirmation. It verifies the model, GrapheneOS build indicators and locked boot state first.
Supported configuration: lock-screen notification privacy, screen timeout and avoiding an always-awake screen while charging. It does not change GrapheneOS’s network defaults or take device-owner control.
Settings that require your personal choice, including PIN, auto-reboot and duress, remain guided steps. Optional apps are installed from their official distribution channels.
Review my report ↗Recovery stays with you
A settings journal is written before each change. The helper verifies writes and restores its changes if a step fails, where the phone is still reachable. The rollback command checks device identity and configuration drift before restoring. Flashing and data erasure cannot be rolled back.
When finished, turn off USB debugging and revoke USB debugging authorisations in Developer options. Keep GrapheneOS’s normal update mechanism enabled.
